Set in an early Georgian country house in the middle of a vast estate, they brought to life a dreamy <\/span>Roundwood House<\/span><\/a> wedding using a rich <\/span>color palette<\/span><\/a>, spectacular <\/span>floral arrangements<\/span><\/a>, and personal touches.   <\/span><\/p>\n

The firewood storage shed became a <\/span>one-of-a-kind location<\/span><\/a> for their <\/span>ceremony<\/span><\/a>, as they transformed the rustic stone structure into a romantic and enchanting setting for their private <\/span>vows<\/span><\/a>. With ethereal <\/span>cloud-like pillars<\/span><\/a> of blooming flowers and delicate dried foliage, the scene was straight out of a fairytale. How The Bride Landed On Her Dream Dress<\/span><\/h2>\n

As a bride, I consider myself incredibly lucky. My best friend owns <\/span>Lady Sycamore Bridal<\/span><\/a>, a boutique in Rhode Island. I had the privilege of <\/span>trying on dresses<\/span><\/a> there multiple times. I tried on almost all of her dresses, kept coming back to one. While my friend carries many beautiful gowns, the decision was easy. I knew it was the one from the very first time I tried it on with my mom, mother-in-law, sister, and friend Molly. I wanted something classic yet edgy, and the accessories fell into place after that.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

How Their Roundwood House Wedding Came To Be<\/span><\/h2>\n

When we first started talking with our <\/span>planner<\/span><\/a>, we told her we were looking for something that felt like a fabulous dinner party but happened to be where we got married. The <\/span>venue<\/span><\/a> was a priority for us, as most of our guests (including ourselves) had never been to Ireland before. We wanted a place that was old-worldly yet casual and cozy. With a lot of character that wouldn’t require excessive decor, just flowers and candles. Ideally, we also wanted a place where we could stay for the weekend. <\/span>Roundwood House<\/span><\/a> was the perfect fit. We had our <\/span>ceremony<\/span><\/a> in the most beautiful barn, <\/span>cocktail hour<\/span><\/a> in the main house, and <\/span>dinner<\/span><\/a> in the library.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

As a creative myself, our <\/span>planner<\/span><\/a> understood that our wedding couldn’t be just another photo shoot. She kept me grounded but also knew when to push the boundaries. <\/span>Roundwood House<\/span><\/a> was perfect—the furniture, architecture, and grounds felt like a cozy, everyday home. The hospitality from Hannah, Paddy, and their staff was exceptional. The Whileaways, our band, provided the perfect acoustic concert for our small wedding. It was a special and memorable experience for our 13 guests and us.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Exchanging Private Vows After Their Roundwood House Wedding Ceremony<\/span><\/h2>\n

One moment that was particularly special was when we exchanged <\/span>vows<\/span><\/a>, just the two of us, after the <\/span>ceremony<\/span><\/a>. There was no first look, as we had already legally married in the states. Our friend performed the ceremony, celebrated with our guests, and then Ian and I sat under our <\/span>floral arch<\/span><\/a>, surrounded by candles, and read our vows. The nerves were gone, and it was just us. So happy to be where we were, experiencing the day we had been dreaming about. Our <\/span>photographer<\/span><\/a> captured the moment, resulting in some of our favorite pictures.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

For many, it was their first time in Ireland. And they were able to make it a real adventure, exploring the country for the entire week.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We provided <\/span>custom tote bags<\/span><\/a> filled with gifts from the <\/span>Irish Design Shop<\/span><\/a> in Dublin, including wooly socks, lip balm, scented candles, and soap—all made by local Irish makers and designers. After the wedding, we even stopped by the shop and stocked up on more candles because they smelled so good!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
