From the bride including pieces of her mother’s <\/span>wedding gown<\/span><\/a> into her <\/span>veil<\/span><\/a> to the <\/span>groom<\/span><\/a> sporting a picture of their dog on his pocket square, the pair made sure they would feel their family’s love from afar. <\/span><\/p>\n

The day started off with the couple’s first helicopter ride over the stunning mountain terrain. They then chose the perfect spot to <\/span>exchange “I do’s”<\/span><\/a> with the snow-capped mountains and crystal blue water backdrop. To honor their Filipino heritage, the couple incorporated a veil <\/span>ceremony<\/span><\/a> and their parent’s unity coins while exchanging <\/span>vows<\/span><\/a>. To end their adventurous day, the two retreated to a cozy night in their <\/span>cabin<\/span><\/a> where they shared bites of their delicious mini <\/span>wedding cake<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

How Family Was Included In Their Elopement<\/span><\/h2>\n

We asked our family and friends to write us letters that we would read during our elopement. Reading those letters together had us smiling, laughing, and brought us so many happy tears. Even though our <\/span>elopement<\/span><\/a> was just us two, we really felt the love from afar and knew everyone was celebrating in spirit.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Honoring Their Heritage <\/span><\/h2>\n

We wanted to honor some Filipino wedding traditions in our ceremony, and requested for our officiant to incorporate a veil ceremony to symbolize unity in our marriage. We also brought arras, or <\/span>wedding unity <\/span><\/a>coins, from both of our parents’ weddings. We exchanged our own personal vows — it was so nice to hear these sentiments that we don’t always say to each other on any other day. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
