The many couples who planned their weddings during <\/span>the pandemic<\/span><\/a> had to be flexible with their venue, their wedding date, and even their guest lists. Anna and Anthony were no strangers to these challenges—although you’d never guess their Orchard House wedding had any issues. By keeping their <\/span>guest list low<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>hosting their wedding virtually<\/span><\/a>, they created an intimate and timeless wedding. <\/span><\/p>\n

With a sword arch sendoff, <\/span>a handfasting ceremony<\/span><\/a>, guest <\/span>poem readings<\/span><\/a>, and the moody weather, their wedding had so many fun and unique details. To end the very special evening, they shared a special <\/span>first dance <\/span><\/a>that was unlike any other. Their First Look<\/span><\/h2>\n

The first look<\/span><\/a> was something <\/span>our photographer<\/span><\/a> suggested and I was surprised how nervous we both were about it. I surprised my husband in a different dress so seeing his face was perfect. It was a wonderful and private shared moment of happiness before the big event.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Having An Orchard House Wedding<\/span><\/h2>\n

The pandemic drove our wedding venue choice. We were quite limited in what was even available. But, we chose an Airbnb<\/span><\/a> that was honestly <\/span>our dream spot<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Personalizing Their Wedding<\/span><\/h2>\n

We wrote our own vows<\/span><\/a> and chose poems to read during the ceremony—one of which my husband wrote! We also had a <\/span>handfasting portion<\/span><\/a> that was officiated by a dear friend.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
