The couple hosted a classic Australian wedding and a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Their day was complete with customary red Chinese attire to create one unforgettable multicultural day.<\/span><\/p>\n

One look at the intimate affair and you would have no idea that the newlyweds planned the entire wedding <\/span>during COVID<\/span><\/a>. The special day was complete with a sun-filled ceremony overlooking a vineyard, earthy red and pink florals arranged by <\/span>Tremella Botanicals<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>three <\/span><\/i>different bridal outfits, and a sleek, modern reception full of dancing and laughter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Natural Elements At This Modern Jackalope Hotel Micro Wedding<\/span><\/h2>\n

Planning a wedding <\/span><\/i>during a pandemic<\/span><\/i><\/a> isn’t fun, but it was easy to adapt our style and design once we <\/span><\/i>agreed on the venue<\/span><\/i><\/a>. We chose Jackalope because of its stunning terrace that overlooks a beautiful vineyard accompanied by a really cool, modern dining room. It’s one of the coolest hotels in Australia and we adopted a modern, clean, and black-tie <\/span><\/i>style for our wedding<\/span><\/i><\/a>. Given the natural spectacle of the venue, there wasn’t much that we needed to do to style the place beyond florals. Bek, our florist, did an amazing job creating a floral crescent that complimented the ceremony backdrop and added warmth to the modern reception room. We <\/span><\/i>designed the other styling elements ourselves<\/span><\/i><\/a>–from the invitations to the <\/span><\/i>signage<\/span><\/i><\/a> to the table signs and orders of service.<\/span><\/i><\/em><\/p>\n

A Memorable Ceremony<\/span><\/h2>\n

Our most memorable moment was standing up at the front of the terrace with the sun shining on us, surrounded by our family and friends and the most amazing view of the vineyards. Just an hour before this moment it was absolutely pouring down with rain.<\/span><\/i><\/em><\/p>\n

Wedding Planning Advice From The Couple<\/span><\/h2>\n

We have three pieces of advice for other couples. First, don’t procrastinate and put things off, even if it seems small at the time–<\/span><\/i>there’s always more to do<\/span><\/i><\/a> that you can’t see now. Next, you can’t please everybody, including yourselves. The quicker you’re willing to compromise together the easier it’ll be to plan.  Finally, make sure to <\/span><\/i>soak it all in on the day<\/span><\/i><\/a>, even if things aren’t going to plan. Time will go by faster than you can imagine, and you don’t want to make bad memories.<\/span><\/i><\/em><\/p>\n
