When a couple describes their <\/span>wedding vision<\/span><\/a> as easy-going and free-spirited, it’s certain to be fun and full of personal touches. That’s exactly how Elizabeth and Austin described their Big Sur wedding at <\/span>Ragged Point Inn<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

When it came time to start wedding planning, the couple knew that they wanted to tie the knot in the place where Elizabeth said “yes!” during a hike. With the help of expert planner <\/span>Engaged Life<\/span><\/a>, their love for the ocean shined through as they said “I do” in a ceremony that overlooked the seaside cliffs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The two followed their ceremony with a reception amidst the pines, complete with a <\/span>twinkle light canopy<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>soul music<\/span><\/a>, pampas grass and florals from <\/span>Plain Jane Posy<\/span><\/a>, and a <\/span>record player guest book<\/span><\/a>. Now that’s how to make a <\/span>wedding unique to a couple<\/span><\/a>. A Memorable—And Sunny—Walk Down The Aisle<\/span><\/h2>\n

Big Sur is known for majestic views and rolling fog, so it was no surprise that there was a low hanging fog on our wedding day. The air was warm, and everything looked mystical–like we were inside a dewy cloudland, nestled next to the mountains and at the edge of the coast. As I got ready to walk down the aisle the sun came bursting through the clouds. Soaked in light, I emerged to see my groom standing at the arbor. He was fighting back tears, and I could feel everything–the sun on my back, the smiles from the crowd, and the intensity of the commitment we were making to each other in front of all our loved ones. The sun stayed shining through our ceremony, where we exchanged our <\/span><\/i>handwritten vows<\/span><\/i><\/a>, and I will truly never forget that moment.<\/span><\/i><\/em><\/p>\n

Why Ragged Point Inn<\/span><\/h2>\n

Austin proposed to me on a hike in Big Sur, and I knew that I wanted to get married in what we believe is the most magical place. We knew we wanted an <\/span><\/i>outdoor wedding<\/span><\/i><\/a> and a place that our guests could stay on site. This was extremely limiting in the Big Sur area, so when we discovered Ragged Point Inn, we knew it had <\/span><\/i>to be our venue<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/i><\/em><\/p>\n
