On his bachelor trip, Shane<\/span>’s best friends took him to a bespoke suiting spot in Buffalo, NY, Bureau, to have his suit custom made. During the process, he found a swatch for a mustard fabric and decided to go with it. It was completely unplanned.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

Jess really wanted her wedding outfit to reflect her personal style, think clean lines accented with statement accessories. She spotted her Danielle Frankel dress in an Instagram story posted by LOHO bridal. Messaged the owner, placed her order on the spot. She didn’t try it on until it arrived three weeks before the wedding. At the final hour, she decided she wanted a pop of color and found some green Prada heels second hand on The RealReal.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Our personal styles are pretty similar in that we both appreciate more than a healthy amount of minimalism. White for cleanliness and simplicity, wood for texture, palms as a nod to our passion of tiki culture, and gold as an accent. As a last minute decisions, we added some deep reds to the bouquets and boutonnières to balance Shane<\/span>’s mustard suit, but really, we weren’t tied to a particular palette.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

Some of the best advice we received before the weekend was to take moments to look out on the crowd and take it all in. I’ll never forget joining hands with Shane<\/span> at the start of the ceremony and looking out at all of our friends and family.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

Jasmine [Let’s Frolic Together] is a total delight. We had the amazing fortune of meeting her for our engagement shoot months prior. She’s such an incredible person and we couldn’t imagine having done this with anyone else. Our memories were perfectly captured.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

Bouavon Vongpanya of Tangled Lotus took our crazy ideas and made them come to life. They even braved an 8’ ladder to hang our floral chandelier! All of the arrangements looked spectacular.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Considering every detail, from the song selections down to the signage and menu. We asked ourselves, “Would this be a wedding we would want to attend?” And then optimized from there. We hand-wrote personal thank you cards to each guest that doubled as seating assignments. In an effort to cut down on waste and cost, we figured it would be a much more thoughtful approach than some tchotchke that would get tossed.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

Can’t say enough about Jude Callahan of Top Shelf Event Productions. He was our day-of coordinator and all-around captain. If there were any hiccups, we didn’t find out about them. And the reason the day ran so smoothly was because of him. He and his staff were champions. Thank you, thank you, thank you!<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n

One of our biggest complaints about weddings that we’ve attended in the past is no snacks. The ceremonies are always at an odd time and dinner is usually a bottleneck, so we made sure to do an appetizer immediately following the ceremony. Our guests still talk about the bags of bacon we served (onion petals for our vegetarians).<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n
