The most important thing to us when planning our wedding was not making it hard on ourselves. We’re big believers of less is more, and<\/span> we tried to simplify when possible so we could fully enjoy every element of our wedding without stress given it was a destination. We also had so much fun curating our music! On a road trip through California months before our wedding, we began putting together playlists for the ceremony, cocktail, dinner, and <\/span>dancing portions of the wedding. This process was so much fun, and<\/span> the music ended up being a highlight of the day.<\/em><\/p>\n

Our ceremony was the most memorable part of our wedding. We were lucky to have a close family friend who we respect and<\/span> look up to officiate us, which made it very intimate and<\/span> personal. We cared a lot about the messages and<\/span> themes in our ceremony and<\/span> wanted everyone to feel connected. We also wrote and<\/span> read individual vows to each other, which was so powerful. We’re really happy we did that!<\/em><\/p>\n

Our best advice? Don’t sweat the small stuff! The little things don’t matter and<\/span> often soak up too much time, energy, and <\/span>money. Focus on what’s most important and<\/span> use your energy wisely.<\/em><\/p>\n

We decided to give hand-written cards to each guest. This was probably the most unique touch that we were really committed to doing, even though it did take a lot of time to write notes to everyone! We loved the idea of making a personalized connection to each guest given everyone traveled to be there for us that day and <\/span>allowed us to express our gratitude individually.<\/em><\/p>\n
