Iqra and Dave are giving us serious Mexican fiesta vibes in this epic Tulum wedding! The fun-loving couple traded tradition for a wedding ceremony in a beach-front yoga studio and an al fresco reception at the iconic Hartwood Tulum<\/a> restaurant. Can you say dreamy? From beginning to end and top to bottom, this wedding was as unique as it was heartfelt thanks to the thoughtful and creative eye of Diana Romo Weddings<\/a>. Iqra looked stunning in a marigold-colored Sarah Seven<\/a> dress, which she dressed up with emerald accessories and a custom hairpiece created by Suma Cruz<\/a>. The jewel-tone color palette paired with the tropical jungle views and the fiesta-inspired details popped like crazy in these photos captured by The Times We Have<\/a>, and we simply can’t stop staring!<\/p>\n

We fell in love with Tulum’s vibe when we were scouting locations and wanted our guests to experience what we loved most about this destination. With the lush green jungle side and the blue water and white sand beach side, we decided to split our celebration between the two. We originally planned to have a ceremony on the beach and moved it indoors due to the chance of rain. It worked out perfectly and we ended up having our ceremony at Sanara, in the gorgeous beachfront yoga studio. <\/em><\/p>\n

The best part about having a wedding in Mexico is the cultural influence and the colorful inspiration all around you. We wanted our wedding to feel vibrant and incorporate these elements, so we decided on jewel tones: dark greens, peach, touches of brass, and pops of fuchsia. We were ecstatic with how everything turned out; our planner and florist did such an incredible job of bringing our vision to life!<\/em><\/p>\n

Our friends and family traveled far and wide to be at our wedding, so we wanted everyone to feel involved in the ceremony. We decided on a ring warming ceremony. This involved having our wedding bands passed around and each guest had the opportunity to hold the bands and “warm” them with a wish or a blessing. This was such a unique element to our ceremony and turned out to be a truly special moment for us and our guests. <\/em><\/p>\n

Although I didn’t have a vision for my wedding dress (and had no clue where to start), I knew that I wanted something unique. I tried on as many dresses as I could and as soon as I put on the Marigold Sarah Seven<\/a> dress, I didn’t want to part ways with it. I fell in love with the color and everything about it really felt like me!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We love Hartwood Tulum<\/a> — it is hands down one of the best restaurants in Tulum! Between the open air space and candlelit dining, the ambiance perfectly fit our vibe. It was one of the first places we booked and we were so lucky to have blocked it out for our wedding reception. Every aspect of the experience, from the phenomenal food and cocktails to the remarkable staff, really made our day.<\/em><\/p>\n

Our day was filled with moments that we will cherish forever, but the most memorable for us was one of the last moments of the night. We closed out the party with LCD Soundsystem’s “All My Friends”<\/a> as the last song. As a couple, we love going to shows and we’ve been able to see LCD Soundsystem multiple times with many of our friends. Because it holds such a special place in everyone’s hearts, literally everyone was on the dance floor (despite the heat). It was such a moving moment to look around, see all our closest friends and family in one place, dancing, singing, and having the best time. We’ll never forget it!<\/em><\/p>\n
