With an outdoor ceremony space and tent-covered reception decked out in red, black, and gold decor, Alyssa and Josh’s Oregon farm wedding was a beautiful mix of elegance and modern, edgy design. Class Act Events<\/a> highlighted the coziness of the private estate by infusing rustic accents alongside the edgier decor pieces, which included moody blooms designed by Blüm Floral Design<\/a> that were perfect for the PNW vibes of this Oregon wedding. Aside from the impeccable design, Alyssa and Josh’s special day was full of emotional and heartfelt moments that The Shepards Photo<\/a> captured so well. From the tearful first look to the joyful ceremony, every moment of this wedding was picture-perfect!<\/p>\n

The first look was the most memorable part of the day. It was nerve-racking for sure but helped us be more present during the day by getting rid of pre-ceremony nerves. Standing back to back (freaking out inside), we turned around to see each other and a wave of emotions hit both of us. Tears were running down our faces. It was absolutely incredible feeling all the emotions of marrying your best friend and loving someone so much.<\/em><\/p>\n

I wrote the ceremony with the help of my talented maid of honor, BUT the ceremony was so windy that I really didn’t listen to any of the words we had worked so hard on. I had the best time laughing at the freezing wind and how it was whipping my dress and hair around, making me visibly shake, messing with Josh<\/span>‘s hair, and flapping around the tent we had set up to keep the guests dry. Everyone was experiencing the same crazy wind with me and I loved that. Sorry to any guests who didn’t enjoy it as much fun as I did!<\/em><\/p>\n

Setting ourselves up to have a relaxed and enjoyable day was the most important aspect of planning our wedding. We chose our vendors not only based on how excellent their craft was, but also on how we felt when we met with them. There are so many great vendors out there to choose from. Why not go with the ones who you feel the best around? This was the best decision I made during planning. Not only did it make choosing vendors easier, it also made us feel more at ease because we loved the people we were working with.<\/em><\/p>\n
