We are so into the cozy vibes Meghan and Kash created for their winter wedding at Axis Pioneer Square<\/a>. This venue features Seattle’s iconic red brick architecture, and the couple didn’t want to distract from that unique characteristic. So they kept their palette clean with whites\/creams, greys, greens, and subtle pops of mixed metallics and relied on candlelight to set a romantic mood. This crafty couple DIYed nearly every detail, from the signage to the Irish Blessing guestbook, and the overall look was as charming as could be. The bride’s Justin Alexander<\/a> lace gown and pearl-studded hairpiece were as effortless as the decor and echoed the natural, simple vibe the couple created throughout the entire day. Photographer duo Nick Plus Danée<\/a> outdid themselves in capturing the understated elegance of this Seattle wedding and stole our hearts with the couple’s sweet first look on the rooftop.<\/p>\n

My usual style is very simple, so I was afraid that a wedding look wouldn’t reflect who I am if I did too much. I decided on neutral, light colors. Luckily, my makeup artists double as a long time friend, so we did a few trials to determine what we would go with. Due to the neckline and back of my dress, wearing my hair up was a no brainer. Curled pieces around my face helped accomplish the romantic look I was going for. Trust in my beauty advisors is really how I got my wedding beauty look. I loved the cut of my dress. It worked perfect for my body, which made me feel really beautiful. The overall lace prompted me to choose very simple accessories, which included my maternal grandmother’s pearl necklace (I wore as a bracelet) and my paternal grandmother’s pearl earrings.<\/em><\/p>\n

Since our wedding was in January, we wanted a cozy, intimate vibe. We accomplished that by pairing candles and whites\/creams with the raw brick. The flowers, lace and calligraphy added a romantic feel. It was simple and worked really well together.<\/em><\/p>\n

Around 90% of our wedding was DIY. The mother of the bride created a portion of the floral displays using fake flowers for different decorative arrangements. The signage, programs, favors, blessing stones (guest book), and dessert bar were all DIY.<\/em><\/p>\n

The goal of our wedding (besides becoming husband and wife) was to celebrate our love and commitment to each other with our family and friends. So naturally, we opted for a short ceremony. Kash<\/span>‘s stepfather was our officiant and he worked with us on a script. It was short, sweet, and very meaningful.<\/em><\/p>\n

Small details go a long way. The best part about small details is they can be very inexpensive. Pay attention to the little things. Alone they may seem insignificant, but added up they truly contribute to the whole atmosphere.<\/em><\/p>\n
