If you’re a fan of mid-century style and tropical florals, Tish and Darren’s glorious San Diego wedding at The Pearl Hotel<\/a> will make your heart skip a beat! Alexandria Monette Photography<\/a> worked her magic to capture photos that showcased the couple’s unique style and fit the bright, laid-back vibe of the entire day. In true Hollywood style, the couple was dressed to the nines! Tish looked flawless in a chic Alexandra Grecco<\/a> gown and Badgley Mischka<\/a> accessories, and Darren looked like a long-lost member of the Rat Pack in a classic black and white tuxedo from The Black Tux<\/a>. Their poolside ceremony and reception were anything but stuffy though, and featured an array of tropical florals from California & Florist<\/a>, a wall of succulents, personal knick-knacks, personalized signs, and a giant screen to project movies when the sun went down. We’re pretty sure this was one night and one party their guests will never forget!<\/p>\n

We wanted a unique mid-century modern style hotel. We visited mostly Palm Springs venues and remembered a cute boutique hotel we had visited when we were friends that was located in Point Loma. When I found out that you can “Own the Hotel” for your wedding, we were pretty sold. Once we visited, we were met with a warm and hospitable staff. It just made sense for us to revisit this old gem!<\/em><\/p>\n

For my wedding look, I wanted to feel relaxed to enjoy the day. That meant finding a dress I can move and dance in. The look needed to feel slightly classic to offset Darren<\/span>‘s awesome black shawl white tuxedo jacket. My accessories were minimal. The rest of the bridal party was asked to select a dress of their choice in the color that was given to them. The only rules was it was cocktail style and had to make them look sexy!<\/em><\/p>\n

Our vows to each other were hands-down the most memorable. We are pretty private people, so to put our heart in a vulnerable place for all our closest friends and family to hear was definitely a life-changing moment for the both of us.<\/em><\/p>\n
