Having spent many summers at The Amari Phuket<\/a> as a child, Ashley added another fond memory to this already special place – marrying the love of her life. Their destination wedding allowed Ashley and Ali to be surrounded by their closest friends and family, not stress, and enjoy the celebration of starting the next chapter in their lives. With the help of The Wedding Bliss<\/a>, these two effortlessly planned the day of their dreams. The fun and relaxing day was documented by Terralogical Photography<\/a> and Tichakorn Cinematography.<\/a><\/p>\n

Rather than given wedding favours, we gave out guests welcome bags when they arrived in Thailand with hangover kits for a few late nights, Thai dressing gowns and wooden frogs for good luck.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Ali<\/span> and I wrote our own vows from our heart. Ali<\/span> wrote a poem months in advance, whilst I listened to my heart the morning of the wedding to write down my vows! We kept the ceremony simple without any readings, just love and laughter throughout.<\/em><\/p>\n

From dancing with my bridesmaids to The Spice Girls while we got ready, to seeing my husband’s face as I walked down the aisle, having the baby elephant walk us back down the jetty and smother us in kisses, through to spending the night laughing and creating memories with our family and friends, it was all truly so special. <\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Ali<\/span> and I decided to have a destination wedding as we wanted a small, intimate ceremony and to be in the moment and surrounded by our loved ones. When looking at destinations, we knew The Amari<\/a> at Phuket, Thailand was perfect. I had travelled there 6 times with my family growing up, and it held so many beautiful memories. My Dad had mentioned many years before that he could see me getting married on The Jetty there one day whilst the sun set, and Ali<\/span> & I couldn’t agree more.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Terralogical<\/a> captured our wedding day in more ways then we could have ever imagined. The team made our day so special with their easy going personalities, big smiles and ability to capture moments without us realizing.<\/em><\/p>\n

Rather than having a guestbook, we created advice cards with envelopes ranging from 1 – 20 years. Each year, we will open an advice card from one of our guests to remind us of who was there with us on our special day.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Something I will always remember will be sneaking away to the end of the jetty to privately dance with my husband, under our arch, surrounded by the sea and looking back at all our family and friends dancing on the dance floor! It is a snapshot in my mind that we got to spend an intimate moment together and just stop and reflect and appreciate the whirlwind of emotions we had experienced on our wedding day.<\/em><\/p>\n
