Shanleigh and Simon’s lighthouse wedding is sure to have you grinning from start to finish! Both the bride and the groom are photographers by trade and lovers of the ocean, so they knew the nautical, intimate vibes of a wedding inside of a lighthouse would be perfect for them. Wanting to keep the details of their nuptials simple and sweet so they could focus on the intimate moments of their day, the couple opted for a super small guest list and DIY florals. Shanleigh and Simon’s contagious smiles and the gorgeous South African waterfront scenery were photographed beautifully by Wednesday and October<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Being photographers ourselves, photography was the most important part of our day, so we searched long and hard. To us a good photographer can make any wedding situation look good. Remember that the only thing you have left is your images – not the food, not the decor, but your images. Secondly, a good hair & make up artist is essential, trust us! And lastly what you will be wearing is important. You only do this once, so don’t go and buy rip offs, it will end in tears (trust us, we know this too). Designers and good designers use good material, so pay their price. Finally, it’s your day, do what the hell you want! But always remember to have great images of you doing it.<\/em><\/p>\n

We are both lovers of the ocean and body borders. Simon<\/span> is a wave art photographer when we are not shooting weddings, so a lighthouse wedding seemed fitting to us!<\/em><\/p>\n
