From the very beginning of wedding planning, Christie and Brayden knew that The Grounds of Alexandria<\/a> was the perfect venue for them – after all, where else can you find a petting zoo, gorgeous eclectic and vintage details, and thousands of magical twinkling lights all in the same place? I wanted to look like myself so I decided to wear my hair down, which I do everyday. I felt effortlessly cool in my dress by Maticevski<\/a>, and most importantly, I felt like myself which is hard in a giant white gown. That was important to me. <\/em><\/p>\n

We wanted a party atmosphere so we served an antipasto grazing table to start and canapés throughout the night. Dessert was Nutella and jam donut balls.<\/em><\/p>\n

We personalized our vows but we also added the story of how we got together, which guests said they really enjoyed. We also wanted to mention of the legalization of same sex marriage.<\/em><\/p>\n
