Cat and Aaron’s wedding at Galgorm Resort and Spa<\/a> was a simple expression of elegance and pure class! Aaron’s all-time favorite movie is Top Gun,<\/em> so Cat surprised him with a celebratory ride after their ceremony in a Top Gun<\/em>-inspired Porsche Speedster. Cat wore a gorgeous lace Laure de Sagazan<\/a> gown and added some ethereal glam to her bridal look with a gold and moonstone tiara. Chris Copeland Photograph<\/a>y captured every detail of the couple’s day beautifully, including their elegant reception decor and some of the most perfectly romantic florals we’ve ever seen!<\/p>\n

We wanted the day to reflect our personalities and the things we love. Our favourite city is Paris so we chose to have our table numbers in French. Our wedding car was a Porsche Speedster from Aaron<\/span>‘s favourite film, ‘Top Gun.’ Our favourite cocktails were used for the drinks reception and all the songs throughout the day had special significance to us as a couple. But most importantly, we wanted to have a ‘party’ with our friends and family that we would never forget. <\/em><\/p>\n

I didn’t particularly want a ‘typical’ wedding dress and found it hard to get a dress I had envisaged. Rachel at The White Gallery got my style and vision. I opted for a simple Laure de Sagazan dress which had a delicate scalloped lace detail and silk bottom. It was lightweight so I could move easily and most importantly meant I could dance. My headpiece was my statement which I absolutely loved. It was a moonstone, enamel and 14k gold plated floral headpiece by Luna Bea. Along with my veil it was by far my favourite wedding accessory. <\/em><\/p>\n

We chose to have our service in a small chapel in Aldergrove where my grandparents got married and lived beside. My uncle did the service for us and friends and family were involved throughout. <\/em><\/p>\n

The most memorable part of the day for us was the drive from the Church to the Galgorm Resort and Spa. I surprised Aaron<\/span> with a Porsche “Speedster” which was the car from his favourite movie Top Gun. The drive itself wasn’t exactly the most comfortable but it was the only time we were alone the whole day. The reality that we were now “Man and wife” had sunk in and it felt awesome.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Renaissance Suite in the Galgorm has a simple elegance and a neutral palette. It suited the vibe I was going for the wedding…understated and ethereal. Aaron <\/span>and I had also spent time here for special occasions.<\/em><\/p>\n

You can be easily swayed or influenced by people’s opinions and ideas but you’ve got to stick with your vision and what you want. Remember the day is about you as a couple and it should reflect you as people. Things will go wrong leading up to and on the day …it’s inevitable, but only you will know about it. So, take it all in your stride and enjoy each and every moment! Not everyone will notice the finer details so don’t fret about the small things. So as long as there is good music, people dancing and everyone smiling…you’re sure to have a fab day that people will talk about for weeks!<\/p>\n
