Alexa and Rafael’s elegant Milwaukee wedding inspiration began with the groom’s wish to wear a tuxedo and bow tie on his big day. From there, the bride chose an extraordinary tiered and embellished gown and the couple danced the night away at The Grain Exchange<\/a>. BP Photo<\/a> captured the opulent details as well as the little details that made the day unique, like sipping on pints of beer before heading into the reception to see their guests!<\/p>\n The Couple:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Alexa and Rafael<\/p>\n The Wedding:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n The Grain Exchange<\/a>, Milwaukee, Wisconsin<\/p>\n The Inspiration:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Rafael<\/span> wanted to wear a tux and bow tie from the moment we started talking about our wedding, so that set the tone for the rest of the overall theme. We wanted our wedding to have a classic and elegant feel. We choose The Grain Exchange for the vaulted ceilings and open atrium, which created very glamorous and grand backdrop. To offset the opulence of the Grain Exchange, we went with classic table settings, and chose timeless colors like cream and white with gold accents. A dramatic train for me, tuxes for the gents, and long dresses for the ladies seemed to follow naturally.<\/em><\/p>\n The Moments:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n During the reception, when everyone was dancing and a few drinks in, we stole a moment for ourselves and went up to the balcony which over looked the dance floor and just took it all in. It filled us with so much joy to see all our family and friends in one place, at one time, enjoying themselves.<\/em><\/p>\n The Couple Recommends:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Beau didn’t only capture the day for us; he captured our love and excitement. Everyone warned us that our wedding day would fly by, and as hard as we tried to slow the day down, it came and went so fast. After the day is done, newlyweds are left with their memories of the day and the special moments that were captured in film or video. Beau’s talent doesn’t just lie in his amazing photography skills; it also lies in his unique ability to make you feel at ease. When you feel at ease, you are yourself, and that shows in the photographs. Beau became our friend- he laughed with us, he joked with us, and he took amazing photos for us all over Milwaukee. He has an eye for what colors will pop in the background, and how to use lighting to highlight special moments. We love our wedding photos!
