Amanda and Sam’s wedding at The Lily Barn<\/a> combined the bride’s Southern roots with the groom’s East Coast swagger. Sophisticated wedding day fashion and classic details kept the celebration organic and true to the couple’s style. Amanda couldn’t have looked more stunning in her champagne Carol Hannah<\/a> gown and romantic braids, all of which photographer Dixie Pixel<\/a> captured effortlessly!<\/p>\n

The Lily Barn<\/a>, Townsend, Tennessee<\/p>\n

The Inspiration:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We wanted it to have a Southern feel to it, to represent the bride, who is from Tennessee. But we also wanted a mix of Sam<\/span>‘s culture — Jewish from Boston — in the wedding. We also wanted it to have the organic, chic vibe of New York City, where we live. The words that went through our minds were: rustic, organic, wild.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Moments:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Amanda<\/span>: When Sam<\/span> read his personal comment that he wrote for the ceremony. I am the writer, but he blew me away. It was as if Pablo Neruda had written it for him. The most romantic moment of my life.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sam<\/span>: Seeing her walk down the aisle and taking her hand. I was nervous, even though I didn’t expect to be. She looked so beautiful and happy. When we first faced each other and smiled … that was a beautiful moment.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Couple Recommends:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The Nick Carver band was incredible. They traveled to Townsend from Nashville. They arranged our song to be slow enough for our first dance and they played the Beatles for us at the ceremony. <\/em><\/p>\n

Our photographer Tara (Dixie Pixel) was incredible. She got us the editorial shots we wanted, and she also stepped in as a last-minute planner of sorts for the bride. She was a godsend. <\/em><\/p>\n
