Laura and David envisioned a wedding day that would allow them to spend every moment together — a day just for them. After an intimate ceremony at Lothian Chambers<\/a>, the couple snuck away to the beach for some fun. The bride wore a white floral headband and held orange, white and blue wild flowers for her bouquet. Not afraid to get their feet wet, the couple made memories in the sand as the incredible Jacob and Pauline Photography<\/a> captured the beautiful moments. Ending the night perfectly, the couple celebrated later at their favorite restaurant, Angels with Bagpipes<\/a>!<\/p>\n

The Inspiration:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We didn’t have a big wedding or any decor at all! It wasn’t about a lavish party and spending lots on things that really didn’t matter to us. Our theme was ours and ours alone. We did things because we wanted to – Edinburgh because it was our first trip away, the restaurant was our favourite, and the cake was a rainbow cake after David<\/span> saw it at the Hummingbird Bakery.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Moments:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We hailed a cab and drove over to the shore. Our photographers were taking a few snaps, and then it started to rain. Given that we were already getting wet, Jacob asked us if we’d mind getting into the sea! My dress ended up sandy and wet, and David<\/span>‘s hair started to get fluffy. but it was brilliant. Typically us!<\/em><\/p>\n

The Couple Recommends:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Our photographers were amazing. From asking us to jump in the sea, to travelling all the way to Edinburgh, they went the extra (few hundred) miles to ensure we got what we were looking for. We didn’t want posed pictures, and they managed to capture us, how we are day-to-day. My dad has sadly passed away, and as he couldn’t be at my wedding, the photos have taken on extra meaning to us, knowing he got to see how happy we were together.<\/em><\/p>\n
