At most weddings today, you can expect to see guests capturing meaningful moments on their cell phones, but what would happen if a professional wedding photographer captured all the moments of the wedding day using only her cell phone? When Nokia released their new Lumia 1020 cell phone, they got in touch with LA wedding photographer Joy Marie<\/a> to see if she was up for the challenge. Joy jumped right in, as did the adventurous Crista and Chris, who were to be married in a romantic beach wedding at Capella Resort<\/a>. The results were nothing short of magical so prepare to be blown away by beautiful landscapes and romantic wedding photos you won’t believe were captured on a cell phone.<\/p>\n

The Couple: <\/b>Crista and Chris<\/p>\n

The Wedding: <\/b>11.8.13 – Capella Resort<\/a>, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico<\/p>\n

The Goals: <\/b>Our main goals was to be organized, and focused but at the same time to stay relaxed and let people do their jobs. We wanted to keep the guest list to our closest friends to keep the wedding intimate.<\/i><\/p>\n

The Design: <\/b>My vision\/inspiration for our wedding day was vintage, romantic elegance. We included lots of twinkle lights, tea-lights and candles to create a glow. The colors were blush, champagne, light golds and shimmer. I had a cute sign made for our son to walk down the aisle before me. It says “Daddy, here comes your bride!” We wrote our own vows which was special. We also had a sparkler lighting entrance for when we were introduced as Mr.and Mrs after the ceremony.<\/i><\/p>\n

The Moments: <\/b>Seeing our son walk down the aisle was very emotional and another favorite part was the dancing, when all the men took their shirts off for the whole night! Lighting the wish lanterns was really nice as well.<\/i><\/p>\n

The Photographer:<\/strong> We really felt like Joy and David were part of the family. The were like close friends and that made it very easy for us to feel comfortable and relaxed while they were taking photos. Joy is so easy to relate to and very giving.<\/i><\/p>\n

The Advice: <\/b>My best advice is to try and stay realistic. Remember the moment that you are in and just relax.<\/em><\/p>\n
