Pantone<\/a>, those wizards of color and trends, just released their Spring 2012 Fashion Report<\/a>. You can kind of consider it their “report back from the runway” from Fashion Week, which recently took place. The report is fascinating – they’ve compiled all the trends and innovations they saw into a lookbook of colors. The majority of the report is composed of sketches of couture fashion with notes from the designers concerning the color trends.<\/p>\n

Three of the colors – Alloy, Tender Shoots, and Tidal Foam – reminded me of a gorgeous photo by Eric Uys, and the lovely color palette it contains that seems to be a perfect transition from summer to fall. Throw in one of my all-time favorite Vera Wang gowns, some pretty earings I just received for my birthday (amazing in person!), one of the most elegant flowers, white delphinium, and you’ve got the perfect fall inspiration!<\/p>\n
