Are you Pinterest-ing yet? If you are then you understand the great obsession, and if you’re not then you’ve probably heard mention of this new online phenomenon…
Pinterest is an image bookmarking site that allows you to “pin” photos from anywhere online and organize them (in an absolutely gorgeous way) in categories of your choosing. Similar to Facebook or Twitter, you can follow other people’s accounts to see and save the photos they’ve been pinning or you can search for the specific kinds of images you’re looking for. Needless to say Pinterest is a gold mine for finding wedding inspiration, as well as home decor, craft projects, fashion, and more! One of the best things about it, is that each image automatically links back to its source, so you can easily click through to the site where it came from to learn more; a very helpful feature! <?p>

Great ideas! I’ve been trying to utilize Pinterest for my business, as it’s obviously an amazing way to gather inspiration for brides. I’m using it to create individual inspiration boards for engagement competitions, for suggestions on what to wear to an engagement, props to bring, etc. It really creates a fun, useful, and ATTRACTIVE way to present these ideas to brides rather than sending them a generalized list in an email.. plus it’s interactive. And as much money as we spend on branding, it’s another lovely way to give this a nice presentation.
