This Annapolis wedding proves that casual can be beautiful! Having a wedding that was as relaxed and laid-back as they both are was exactly what Leanne and Ehsan wanted for their big day. Anvil Ranch gave them that and more! The couple loves to be outdoors, and they are always staying active, so they knew a formal wedding really wasn’t the vibe they wanted. BrittRene Photography was on-scene capturing each special moment, including right before the ceremony when Leanne got a pep talk from her bridal party and then stepped out to walk down the aisle towards her groom.

I wanted a dress that was form fitting and elegant, and I learned as I tried on dresses that I love intricate lace work. The plunging back and neckline on the Marina Liana dress were exactly what I hoped for. I found my accessories on Etsy – a company from Denmark that makes beautiful, unique, ethereal pieces. It was the perfect match for my dress and our outdoor ceremony.

My bridesmaids and amazing maid of honor  made the bouquets, corsages, and center pieces. My sister-in-law also created a memory tree for us in the middle of the reception site with childhood photos arranged around the tree. For our guestbook, we created a photo book telling the story of how we met and fell in love, with spaces in the margins for guests to sign.

We wanted our family and friends to be able to relax and enjoy each other’s company. We both grew up in rural environments and it was important that our wedding not feel formal and that our guests got a chance to appreciate California’s beautiful landscape.

Take some time for yourself. Don’t be afraid to say no. It’s hard because you’ll want to be a good hostess for all of your visiting friends and family, but it’s important to say no to some of their requests so that you can have some time to breath and relax and appreciate what a special moment this is.
