Floral-Inspired Oceanfront Wedding at Hotel Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas

August 17, 2017 | colleen

Mandy and Drew’s dreamy destination wedding at Hotel Riu Palace in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico will have you wanting to pack your bags and take the next flight.  The happy couple chose a spot where everyone would have a good time, and they let the beautiful scenery inspire them for decor and overall vibe of their wedding. From an oceanfront ceremony to classic florals and a candlelit reception, their day was stress-free and full of romance. Sticking to the basics let them focus on what mattered most to them– each other. Tricia Victoria Photography was there to document the day and effortlessly portrayed Mandy and Drew’s love for one another.

The Couple:

Mandy and Drew

The Wedding:

Hotel Riu Palace, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

My dress was Truvelle. I was obsessed with the chiffon and I had them customize the top so it would be more simple. I had Tiffany earrings, and my friend made us all floral crowns to match since the bridesmaid dresses were all a little different.

Instead of exchanging bride and groom gifts the day of the wedding, we got a puppy when we got home. His name is Blue and he’s so silly!

The bridesmaids wore Show Me Your Mumu (such amazing dresses I was jealous, haha). They helped me pick them out and, the nice thing was, they came in different top styles so the girls didn’t have to feel uncomfortable– the material was made for hot weather. Men wore navy dress pants and white dress shirts from Simons. I also got the girls Melanie Auld necklaces that were dainty gold chains with a pink opal heart. I’m pretty sure they are all still wearing them.

Not sure if this was a surprise other than to anyone who saw… but after pictures before the reception, I had to pee so bad so I kissed Drew goodbye, ran 20 minutes down the beach by myself, hopped a fence, then ran through the resort looking for a bathroom. Barefoot in my wedding dress!

Processional and Recessional: Acoustic Guitar with no vocals
First Dance: I Choose You- Sarah Bareilles
Father/Daughter Dance: Three Little Birds- Bob Marley

Most of our professionals were through the resort but they were all amazing. Our photographer, Tricia, was so easy to be around and fun! I would definitely recommend her to be trusted for your big day. She made taking photos really fun and even made sure to scout locations ahead of time so we could stay on schedule with are day. She was always complimenting our party and made everyone feel at ease. Very professional and easy breezy!
