Alexandra and Greg’s private ranch wedding in Colorado perfectly channeled the organic beauty and rustic elegance that’s so unique to mountain-area weddings. With the help of expert planner Joette Gilbert from Gatherings in Vail, the couple created an intimate outdoor ceremony amid a forest of magnificent aspen trees. For the reception, they set up an impressive network of teepee-style tents to create a cozy and relaxed space for their guests to enjoy a gourmet dinner and roast s’mores by a campfire. One of the sweetest moments of this wedding was immediately after the ceremony, when the couple enjoyed private drinks and appetizers in a small teepee tent before heading to the reception. Colorado holds a very special place in our hearts. We knew we wanted to get married there – it’s a place that we both feel very much at home and at ease. When our wedding planner introduced us to Eaton Ranch we knew almost immediately that it was going to be perfect. Mike Eaton’s Ranch embodies everything about the area that we have come to love – from his family’s history homesteading to their contribution to the valley’s history. Greg particularly loved that the original cabin still lives on and that the ranch continues to be worked. We are so grateful to Mike for welcoming us into his home and to that history. Our guests still comment on what a special place it is.
