Tori and Justin’s glamorous Dallas wedding was punctuated by the unexpected, from wedding party portraits in front of a massive mural in downtown to a fully-clothed dip in the pool at the end of the night. The Inspiration:

Our wedding style really took shape when we chose Hickory Street Annex as our reception venue. It was an old distribution center for Gulf Oil company and has a very industrial edge to it. I didn’t want to go completely rustic with my feel, so I decided to go very classic and traditional with all of my elements in juxtaposition. From white flowers accented with succulents, to chandeliers hanging from the steel trusses, I had fun with the contrast of rustic and classic.

The Moments:

My very favorite moment of the wedding was our “First Look.” I was so nervous for Justin to see me for the first time. All the planning and prepping mounted up to this moment where I finally got to see my soon to be husband on our wedding day! I came up behind Justin and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned and I will never forget his smile. He even got misty-eyed! All of my anxiousness turned to pure joy as we hugged and realized that we would be saying “I do” in a matter of hours. It was one of the most private moments of our day and was just incredibly special.

The Couple Recommends:

Our photographer, Bradford Martens, deserves some major props. The one vendor I was not willing to sacrafice on was my photographer, and I certainly did not. Bradford was easy to work with, and made the sessions comfortable and fun. And the photos, well they speak for themselves. He made us look great, and we will treasure his work as we look back at our wedding day for the rest of our lives.
