Sara and Ryan love her family’s cabin on Priest Lake, so it was a natural place for them to spend her birthday. After they settled in, Ryan suggested that they go visit a friend on the other side of the lake to share a glass of wine. The sun was shining down, so Sara threw on her bathing suit and sarong. When Ryan saw her he asked her if she would put on a tank top and skirt “just in case.” It seemed a little funny, but Sara didn’t mind.
As they started out the boat motor started beeping and Sara figured Ryan would stop to fix it, but instead he continued on, adamant about ignoring it. She was a little concerned about his behavior as they began to lose their view of the cabin, but she figured everything would be okay. As they rounded the bend ahead of them, Ryan stopped the boat, dropped to one knee, pulled out a stunning engagement ring from of his pocket and began to propose. Sara suddenly understood why he had been acting so peculiar.
She yelled yes, over and over again, and even asked him to propose a second time just so she could be sure it was real. They laughed, kissed, and toasted their new life together, then, Ryan turned the boat back towards the cabin. As they approached Sara noticed the driveway was full of cars. Ryan had planned a huge birthday surprise party for her including all her family and friends, but it was the guests who were most surprised when Sara pointed to her ring finger from the dock and yelled, "hey everybody, look at this, we're engaged"!
