Garland and David's wedding day was just as elegant as could be, with a sophisticated champagne, blush, and seafoam color palette, a crystal chandelier filled ballroom, and glamorous dresses for all involved. The Goals: We are a young couple, and with that comes a younger group of guests and the need for a fun atmosphere. We wanted to entertain them while keeping it traditional and appealing to all age groups. It was also important that thee two of us remember that no matter what, this was a time for us to enjoy ourselves and take in the whole event.

The Vision: We wanted to pick a very natural color we both liked, sea foam blue, and then dressed it up with some feminine colors like blush and champagne. These colors showed up my bridesmaids' dresses and the groomsmen tuxes. We wanted our reception to be very lavish, so we draped the entire ball room using ivory/ blush drapes and romantic up-lighting. The crystal chandeliers were an added bonus when we booked the island ballroom, and went beautifully with our centerpieces.

The Look: I wanted to wear a dress that I felt like myself in, and I could wear without feeling like the dress was wearing me. I knew I wanted a mermaid gown so Vera Wang’s Gemma dress was a perfect fit. I knew it was my dress when I saw the tulle flower blooms with blush beading on the skirt. David went with a very tailored classic tuxedo look that was custom made to his liking, keeping it young looking.

The Moments: After the ceremony, David and I were able to sneak into the ballroom while our guests were having cocktails. It was our first time seeing the venue with all of our decorations. It looked a million times better than we could have ever imagined! Because it was just the two of us, we were able to really take in the beauty of every little detail...and test out the dance floor before anyone else. It's something couples rarely get to do at their own wedding!
