I love a good veil, they're like magic! They instantly transform a woman into a bride and illicit oohs, ahhs and teary eyes from everyone watching it being put in place. Over the past few years I've seen brides really have fun with their veils and explore some creative shapes and lengths. Here are a couple of my personal favorites!

Jessica chose a dramatic high fashion veil from Kiko House of Couture that perfectly accented her statuesque frame and simple yet detailed dress. She looked like she walked straight out of a vintage Vogue magazine and was so fun to photograph!

Jae was a true DIY bride, creating her own gorgeous veil out of tulle netting and beads. It's playful shape matched her sweet personality and the fun atmosphere of the wedding day. I can't imagine her choosing anything else!

Oh, I love veils too! My favorite kind to photograph are the mantilla style with lace along the edges... so pretty!

Speaking of which...does anyone know where to find a good mantilla or, better yet, a good place in town that makes custom veils?

I would recommend looking into Luly Yang Couture, Kiko House of Couture and Cicada Bridal, all shops that do fantastic custom dress work here in Seattle. Check out their listings, information and what we love about each one in the "dresses" category of our Plan Your Wedding section! http://www.junebugweddings.com/plan/dresses.aspx
