In honor of the 50th anniversary of the original staging, West Side Story is running at the 5th Avenue Theatre, downtown Seattle, through June 19th. If you've only seen the movie but never seen this musical live on stage, go now. It is irresistible. The Sharks, the Jets, Maria, Tony, that dancing, that music, "I feel pretty, oh so pretty"... I promise you'll feel the urge to belt out the songs all the way home. Um, I did.
