Corinna and Cristian first met at a friend's motorcycle dealership, and love followed soon after they realized they shared a love for all things beautiful; fast and sexy Hotrods included! Their Italian wedding was set at Jardin a Vivre, a Victorian greenhouse, decorated with lavender details, vintage teacups and glowing candelabras. Daniele Del Castillo was their incredible photographer and he expertly captured both classic and playful moments that perfectly represented their personal style.
The Couple: Corinna and Cristian
The Wedding: 7.21.12 - Jardin a Vivre, Milan, Italy
Junebug: What were your most important goals in planning your wedding?
Corinna and Cristian: It is one of the most important days of one's life so we wanted everything to be perfect.
Junebug: How would you describe your personal wedding style?
Corinna and Cristian: We wanted our style to be romantic, natural and chic. We are both lovers of cars and motorcycle, as you may have seen from our wonderful car, lotus seven, so we were excited to be able to have it part of the wedding day. We met in a friend’s motorcycle dealership and from that day we shared everything. We are like a coin, each has his face but we share the same essence.
Junebug: Where did you hold your wedding and reception, and why?
Corinna and Cristian: We chose “Jardine a Vivrè” because we wanted something original that was surrounded by nature. It is a very romantic Victorian greenhouse.
Junebug: What three adjectives describe your wedding best?
Corinna and Cristian: Our wedding was chic, fun and original.
Junebug: What drew you to Daniele Del Castillo and his imagery? What were you looking for in a photographer?
Corinna and Cristian: We looked for an unconventional and creative photographer and we wanted the very best. Daniele is the best and we liked that he was able to capture moments that were natural and we didn't have to act or model. We loved the spontaneity and emotion that Daniele brings to his photos. Daniele was so great, our guests were also thrilled when they saw the final photos.
The Photographer: Daniele Del Castillo
Junebug: How did you approach this particular wedding and what did you most want to capture during shooting?
Daniele Del Castillo: They were an interesting couple from the beginning. They first invited me to their beautiful loft in Milan and I understood from what was surrounding me that they really love details and perfect things. They never stopped smiling and they were handsome too! I wanted to capture the joy of their living together, their joy of having found each other.
Junebug: Were there any special photographic requests from the couple that made this wedding especially exciting creatively or personally?
Daniele Del Castillo: I knew about Cristian's passion for cars and Corinna owns with her family an atelier of dresses for brides. Those are their passions! Cristian is a creative and he really loves to create and invent.
Junebug: What was the most fun part of this wedding for you to photograph?
Daniele Del Castillo: I really loved the moments at the church. Corinna and Cristian smiled alot and the priest was simply great! The reception was wonderful too!
Junebug: How did the locations available to you affect the type of images you shot and how you shot them?
Daniele Del Castillo: I normally shoot without any flash, just available light. The church was a little bit dark so I had to shoot with a much smaller depth of field and it gave a suspended feeling to the pictures.
Junebug: Were there any special locations you were able to choose that made for really great images?
Daniele Del Castillo: I really love the pictures that we took in the blue wooden house while Corinna was changing her dress for the night.
Junebug: What kind of equipment did you use while shooting this wedding?
Daniele Del Castillo: I use Canon and prime lenses from the same brand.
