What three adjectives best describe your wedding? Plentiful, Joyous, and Limitless

What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day? We like the juxtaposition between industrial and natural settings - the Rockville Rooftop had the i-beams and the wide-open sky; we supplied birch trees, galvanized buckets, mason jars, cotton and other items that incorporated these elements.

Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding? I, Kristina, loved the morning of the wedding the very most. Being at peace, at home surrounded by love, reconciling any and all differences; I felt prepared to seize the day. After that, the quiet moments throughout the day were the best, where I could breathe and actually have time to feel the significance of our marriage.

I, Aby, loved the quiet solitude which I was given to get ready - it gave me time to reflect on the road Kristina and I had traveled to arrive at this day. I loved the ride to Church with my groomsmen - just to relax and hear their jokes and laughter. I loved watching Kristina’s father escort her down the aisle.

What specifically drew you to Sam Hurd and his imagery? The words of a friend, George Arfken, first drew us to Sam. We found the pictures featured on his blog stunning, but most of all when we met Sam, we immediately felt at ease with him. Not only with him as a person, but also as a photographer because he exuded a quiet confidence and pride in what he did.
