Where did you choose to have your engagement photos taken, and why? Our more casual photos were taken at the Dallas Farmers Market. We love to support local producers and ranchers and know most of them by name! Nothing better than knowing the person who grows your food! The more formal pictures where taken in my parents' backyard. We had our first date there...I seriously made him meet my family for the first date. Sink or swim, right? It's a special place for us. This was the place where I realized I loved Erik and we have been together ever since!

What specifically drew you to Helmutwalker Photography and their imagery? I was referred to Laura and Raelyn by a girlfriend who used them for their wedding. I love how they catch rare moments and nothing looks posed...even if it was. The candid photos ended up being the best for us and really captured the true essence of Erik and I together.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us about your love story or your lives? We had known each other for about a year and a half before the infamous first date at my parents house. Our relationship grew out of a friendship and we are so happy and lucky to say that we are each marrying our best friend come October. It just doesn't get much better or sweeter than this.
