The Couple: Angharad and George

The Wedding: 11.19.11 - San Simeon, CA

From the bride: We were very happy with where we chose to have the ceremony, it was a beach that was special to us from early on in our relationship. A lot of what we incorporated into our wedding was handmade, and our vows were written mostly by us, so everything was very personal and significant to us. I am the owner of the Urban Craft Center in Santa Monica, so the fact that our wedding was handmade was a reflection of hand-crafting being such a big part of my life. Both of us surprised each other with a song during our vows, and the kids all participated by helping us open our puzzle box that held our rings. The sun came out at the end of the ceremony and we went down on the beach where the kids played while Ken took some portraits of us. It was lovely.

Three words that describe our wedding - intimate, loving, and beautiful. Our palette was simple, purple and grey and a touch of gold. We all had a say in what we were wearing, including the kids, so our outfits really reflected us all as individuals as well. I made our dresses and hair ornaments, and the flowers were sent from a local florist. The guys all chose clothing from local shops. Our style was a reflection of who we are and was meant to present us together as a family. Ken Kienow was fantastic, and Marlene Morris did a great job as our officiate.
