It is with very heavy hearts that we publish this blog post, in tribute to and in memory of wedding photographer Tracy Turpen. Tracy passed away last week, and will be greatly missed by our wedding and photography communities. We have been honored to work with Tracy and her fiancé Tyler Stout of Tracy Turpen Photography as members of Junebug Weddings, and we look forward to supporting Tyler as he makes this difficult transition and continues with their work. Right now we send him, and all of Tracy's friends and family our deepest condolences for their loss.

No doubt Tracy's spirit and passion will live on through all of the incredible photography she created, and all of the people that she touched. To celebrate Tracy's life and her unique vision as an artist, here are just some of the stunning images that Tracy and Tyler generously shared with us over the past year, and that we immediately fell in love with...

I am so devastated that I am just now knowing about Tracy and her beautiful work.  I live in Asheville and heard of her passing then looked at her work.  It is breathtaking and outstanding.  I find myself continually going to her website and blog to look at her and Tyler's images.  Thank you for sharing this tribute!

The deer & high five pic are absolutely insane. Great imagery. This woman surely had talent. Inspiring images. Clearly a great loss.

I am extremely saddened to hear about her passing! I spoke with Tracy several times and she was the sweetest person. The entire photography community is mourning the loss of such a beautiful person and photographer.  My prayers go out to her family, and may Jesus give you peace during this time...

it's always humbling and a little scary when a talented photographer hires you to shoot their pictures. her work grows on you like good music. June 16th, the day I was supposed to shoot her and tyler's wedding will be a very sad day for me. tracy was everything you hope for in a client and much more; kind, fun, patient, beautiful and passionately in love

We are so profoundly sad to hear of Tracy passing.  We didn't know her personally, but to see the world through her photos gave us a glimpse into her world.  What beauty she saw and could help us to see.

Tracy Turpen will be immortalized within the light in the eyes of the people, the shadows on the hills, the color contrasts of earth and sky, the mouths and teeth and tears, the grain and plant, the stone and concrete, the evidence of wind billowing a veil, the fire and the water, the moments in lives and time she captured with purpose and vibrancy; and in the hearts of her sister, son, mother, father, soul mate, extended family and dear friends. Peace be with them and all of us.

So deeply  sorry to hear of Tracey's passing.  She was so talented and such a joy to work with the few times she visited Leatherwood Mountains.   Her work is a tribute to her life and love.

So extremely sad. I felt connected to her images right away! And even more sad is that her boyfriend, Tyler Stout died March 7 2012. Soulmates in life and in death. So so sad :(
