Sophisticated and modern with a few edgy twists, Chelsea and Ryan's Chicago wedding at the Ravenswood Event Center was just the memorable experience they hoped it would be! Fire dancers and all, Mindy and Ben Peterson of Studio 6.23 couldn't have captured the day better!
From the bride: "Our inspiration for the wedding was basically the idea of a huge, beautiful party where all of our family and friends could talk and laugh and dance together. We have some experience throwing large parties, so we decided to do all the planning ourselves from front to back. We bought or made all of the decor, programmed friends to play music and perform, arranged the furniture and cleaned up afterwards. We even rented a scissor lift to hang the lanterns over the tables! We really had no idea no idea what we were getting ourselves into, but thanks to the help of many fabulous friends and family members, it turned out great! We chose the location in part because we love the light in the top floor atrium and the rawness of the old industrial space. But also because I grew up right across the alley from the building, before it was an event space, so it held some sentimental value. And my parents could walk home at the end of the night."
