My love for photography started back in 6th grade. I was hooked after developing my first sheet of photo paper and seeing a slice of time appear out of no where. With a tangible print I could share moments that were beautiful, emotional, somewhat unexpected, and last for years to come.

This desire to communicate led me to a career in photojournalism working for various newspapers in Southern California. Each day gave me the chance to have readers experience the emotions, gestures and light I felt while covering every story. Much of what I covered were sporting events where I had to tell a story in 1/500th of a second, so timing was critical!

Most recently, I worked as a documentary photographer at the White House. During my seven years covering the President and First Lady, I worked behind the scenes and covered historic events, recording memorable moments of our nation’s history. Approaching each situation in my unobtrusive style allowed me to capture these key moments that will be seen by generations to come.

In May of 2008 I photographed Jenna Hager's wedding at the President's ranch in Texas. Like all weddings I felt honored being a part of their special day as I would be at yours.
