I'm Olivia Leigh, a photographer based in my beloved city of Chicago, though I have been so fortunate to worked with couples in locations across the country and around the world.

In college, I studied political science and Spanish, with illustrious dreams of working in politics or at an NGO, developing an interest in photography along the way. After studying in four countries and interning on the Hill and for a think tank, I quickly learned politics was not for me and my artistic soul. I came back to Chicago and started shooting fine art photography, showing work in little galleries around town and exploring creatively on my own.

In 2007 a friend asked me to shoot her wedding, and that was that.

My goal is always to combine artistry and authenticity. I place equal emphasis on photojournalism and portraits, and try to push the photojournalism to a more artistic direction, and on the flip side, always keep the core of the portraits feeling real and authentic for the couple.

Joy is the driving force of my work, capturing laughter, tears, and celebration first and foremost, while hopefully making the experience as fun as possible for every client.
