I've been photographing weddings since 1991 and children since 1998. For almost two decades all of my clients have come to be by referral. I know it sounds a little crazy, but yes, my clients fly me all over the world to capture events they wouldn't entrust to anyone else. I value their loyalty as much as I value my work.

 

My first website lasted ten years without a single change. Today tens of thousands of people are wedding and portrait photographers, with blogs that have daily website updates. Many things have changed about the way we all view photography and photographs but I have never really changed my approach. I try not to confuse quantity with quality.

 

I care deeply about the people I know and the relationships we build. I care less about the perfect image and more about the real image. I know plenty of tricks of the trade, but I don't use many gimmicks in my photography. I shoot straight from the heart to look into the hearts of others. I don't just want to show you how you look, I want to remind you how you felt...on your wedding day, and on many of the other special days of your life.

 

My first clients are approaching their 20th anniversarys. By my estimate, about 95% of them are still married. I have spent many happy years photographing the children of couples whose wedding I photographed, and the children of people who say that they wished they had known me when they got married. I shoot a very limited number of weddings in a year...never more than ten...because I think weddings are very special and I want to remember each and every one, and give each my full and undivided attention.
